This is a "MYnopoly" quilt I made for my girls. It is a family history in a way. Each property group represents a different aspect in their lives. For instance, the purple are the street which we lived on and the town in which we lived in when they were born. The next 3 are our pets we had at the time. Then there are places we visited, hobbies and places we live now. Well it ends on their last name, Tripp Boulevard. I made up new property cards and had them laminated so the board is very playable.
It was very neat to see which properties my girls bought. If the name meant something special to them, they bought it. Also very neat to see the difference in personalities between the two. One very tidy and one very messy. One was careful with her money while the other spent everything she had.
The quilt took 5 months to make. All the words are hand stitched. The memories of playing it with my girls for a few hours was well worth the effort.
